Add a difference arrow when you want the delta or variance between two columns to sit on the chart, not only in a footnote.
Step 1: Open your chart in the editor
Open any Chartbuddy chart so the editor is active. This works the same in Hub, Embed, Google Slides, and PowerPoint.
Step 2: Right-click the chart background
Right-click an empty area of the chart background. Avoid bars, labels, and legend items. The chart context menu opens.
Step 3: Left-click Add difference arrow
Left-click Add difference arrow. Chartbuddy draws an arrow between the first two columns.
Step 4: Left-click the difference arrow
Left-click the difference arrow to select it. Endpoint handles appear.
Step 5: Drag the end handle to the third bar
Left-click and drag the end handle to the top of the third bar so the arrow covers the span you care about.
Step 6: Drag the lift handle upward
Left-click and drag the lift handle upward until the arrow and label sit clear of the bars and total labels.
