How to Remove Your Account and Data
Complete guide to deleting your Chartbuddy account and understanding data removal
What Gets Removed
When you delete your Chartbuddy account, we permanently remove all your personal data and account information, including:
- Your profile information and account settings
- All stored Google OAuth tokens and permissions
- Usage logs and activity history
- Organization data (if you're the last member)
Important: Your charts in Google Slides presentations will remain intact. Chartbuddy only removes account data from our servers, not the charts you've already created in your presentations.
Important Requirements
Before you can delete your account, please ensure:
1 Cancel any active paid subscriptions
You cannot delete your account while you have an active subscription. Cancel your subscription first, then proceed with account deletion.
2 Transfer admin rights (if applicable)
If you're the only administrator of an organization with multiple users, you must transfer admin rights to another user before deleting your account.
How to Delete Your Account
Follow these steps to permanently delete your Chartbuddy account:
1 Log in to your Chartbuddy dashboard
2 Click the three dots menu at the bottom of the sidebar
3 Select "Profile Settings" from the dropdown menu
4 Scroll down to the "Account Deletion" section
5 Click "Delete Account" and confirm your decision
What Happens After Deletion
Immediate Effects
Your account is immediately deactivated and you're logged out from all devices. Google OAuth tokens are revoked automatically.
Data Removal
All personal data is permanently deleted from our servers within 24 hours. This process cannot be undone.
Your Charts Remain Safe
Charts you've created in Google Slides presentations remain intact and functional. Only your Chartbuddy account data is removed.
