Installing Chartbuddy is easy and takes about 1 minute. Go to the Chrome Web Store, search for Chartbuddy, click Add to Chrome, select your Google account, and accept the Terms & Conditions. Chart images are handled based on your organization's storage configuration:

• Chartbuddy Managed: Chart images are temporarily processed via Google Cloud Storage to insert into your slides
• Bring Your Own GCS: Chart images are stored in YOUR Google Cloud Storage bucket

Yes. Since Chartbuddy charts are embedded directly into your Google Slides, collaboration works just like any other Google Slides content. If your collaborators also have Chartbuddy installed, they can edit the charts too. When you're done, you can save a chart as PNG to share with anyone - it's shareable but not editable. Colleagues with Chartbuddy installed can edit the charts in the slide.

Chartbuddy is a browser extension specifically designed for Chromium-based browsers. This includes Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Arc, and other browsers built on the Chromium engine. While Google Slides itself can be accessed from other browsers like Firefox or Safari, Chartbuddy's features require a Chromium-based browser for full functionality.

If Chartbuddy isn't working in Microsoft Edge, this is typically due to Edge's third-party cookie blocking settings. You'll need to add an exception for Google Slides.

Quick fix:

1. Navigate to edge://settings/privacy/cookies
2. Under "Allowed to save cookies", click "Add site"
3. Enter docs.google.com
4. Click "Add" and refresh your Google Slides page

Charts created with Chartbuddy become part of your Google Slides presentation. Once saved, Chartbuddy charts are PNG - shareable with anyone. Colleagues with Chartbuddy installed can edit them freely. You can share your presentation via Google Drive, download it, or present it directly, and your charts will be included.
